Phân tích các yếu tố ảnh hưởng hiệu quả quy mô của nông hộ nuôi cá tra ở thành phố Cần Thơ

Abstract

The study objective is to define the factors which influence the scale effect of the Pangasius fanner in Cantho city and suggest some solutions to contribute to raise the scale effect. The Data Envelopment Approach was used to measure the scale effect and the Tobit regression to analyze the factors which influence the scale effect.

The study result shows that the scale effect by the DEA method of farmer is very high at the average of 0.98. The factors which influence SE are age of farmer, size of breed fish, technical consultancy, investment capital, buying feed on credit and education level.

The study proposes that Pangasius farmers should actively participate in organizations, co-operatives, join venture with processing plants, feed processing companies in order to raise the production ability, decrease the pressure of capital needs and marketing of product. Alternatively, the farmer should select good breed, and participate in technical and environment training in order to equip knowledge to apply to the raising process ỉn order to reduce the scale effect for the Pangasius farmer in Cantho city and contribute to make the Vietnamese Pangasius industty stable and develop Jirmly in the coming time.
