Abstract

The reality shows that consumers are disadvantaged when they implement consumer behaviors in the economy. Compared to businesses, consumers are often in a weaker position in terms of product information, so businesses can easily take advantage of them to make illegal profits. Acts of infringing on consumers interests are very common which affect the economy. In particular, consumers nowadays are often infringed the right to ensure life and health, to be informed and the right to complain, sue, and compensate for damage in pharmaceutical and medicine activities. In many cases, consumers not only suffer from economic losses but also seriously affect their health, even lose their lives when using pharmaceuticals, poor quality medicines, counterfeit drugs, etc. The question is how to protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers in pharmaceutical and medical activities, as well as raise awareness of businesses, people and the whole commune about consumer protection issues.
