Abstract

International and regional economic integration create higher demand for high quality human resource. To meet this practical requirements, universities in the country have designed training programs that aim to improve the quality of graduates ranging from upgrading the teaching methods, improved training curriculum, soft skill training, and activities that have most attention by many schools is cooperation with enterprises in teaching, research and technology transfer. However, the current school-enterprise cooperation in general has not achieved perceived expectation, both sides have not exploited the potentials. This paper reviews and analyses the current status of school-enterprise cooperation in the country and draws the experiences of international universities to propose recommendations to promote the cooperation between universities and enterprises in order to improve the training quality in the context of meeting the higher demand for high quality’ human resource.
