Abstract

Hydrocotyle bonariensis 's sample was harvestedfrom My Tho City, Tien Giang Province before removing yellow, wilting parts and cleaning carefully with water. After that, the sample was cut separately into root, stump, trunk, leaf. Chemical compositions in the leaf and trunk of Hydrocotyle bonariensis L. were further isolated and identified by column chromatography and 'H-NMR, I3C-NMR respectively. In conclusion, we have successfully recycled the used silica gel. This recycled silica gel was used to isolate the compounds that have moderate polarity. Furthermore, basic components in Hydrocotyle bonariensis L. have been determined qualitatively. As a result, isolated stigmasterol (C29H48O) has been found elucidated based on the obtained spectrum from 'H-NMR, l3C-NMR.
