Abstract

Since the Civil Procedure Code in 2015 was established, the provisions on jurisdiction of the Vietnamese Court for civil cases involving foreign elements are provided in a complete, more specific and appropriate manner in line with Vietnam's commitments and international practices. The determination of Vietnamese Court's jurisdiction over civil cases involving foreign elements based on Article 469 and Article 470 of the BLTTDS 2015 includes: general jurisdiction and exclusive jurisdiction of Vietnamese Courts. This article discusses the general jurisdiction of Vietnamese Courts to resolve civil cases involving foreign elements.
