Abstract

Analysis of factors affecting the entrepreneurial intention of rural womens in Can Tho was based on the theory of entrepreneurship and previous research models, combined with qualitative research. The study identified five factors: (1) Subjective standard, (2) Belief in feasibility, (3) Passion for business, (4) Business readiness and (5) Control of perceived behavior that influences entrepreneurial intent. Mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative research were used. Qualitative research aims to clarify meaning, validation, editing and supplementing the observed variables measuring concepts in modeling studies in theoretical research models. Quantitative research were carried out with 160 observations in 3 districts of Co Do, Thoi Lai and Vinh Thanh of Can Tho city through survey questionnaires to measure and evaluate the reliability and validity of the study. From the research results, the author has made some managerial implications to promote business start-up for rural women to contribute to the construction of the “New Rural” and other socio-economic goals. Also the author has made some recommendations for further studies in the future.
